I'm still here....

Yeah...just wanted to let everyone know^^
I just got so busy...lame excuse...I know XD
Lot's of new exciting (& not so exciting) things happened in my life.

  • We moved  (We still need to buy some new furniture and fix some stuff )
  • My grandparents moved too!! -- they will be with my aunt, uncle & cousin from Sacramento (now in LA, CA)^^
  • My BFF came home
  • Aiko-chan is on her way to becoming a man-bear-cat
  • Regarding work, I got assigned to work with university stores nationwide. It's a first in our company since we usually deal with malls and retail stores. So...I had to get another assistant...now I have two!! They're both really great help to me I don't know how I'll live without them.
  • About work again, my boss just informed me that we will start working with a couple spa chains too and he's assigning me to it. I'll be working on it with his wife
  • LA's crazy weather
  • The taxi I was on (on my way to work) hit another car XD It was pretty recent so I have some sort of whiplash going on

Well, there's a whole lot more but I'll leave it at that since I'm at work.
I just read the messages some of you sent so I thought I'd update ;]
Just so everyone knows that I'm still around^^
Don't worry I'll be posting some stuff again...I just don't know when XD

I'm off!! There's still some stuff I need to get done^^
Happy Days!!

Yeah, I've never cleaned it for so long before @___@

Maybe they were busy with the new baby and all.
If my brother in law has the time to sit in front of his laptop from morning till night and watch some movies/comedy shows laughing his ass off I don't think he's that busy taking care of his baby.
In fact, he "takes care" of her like 2 minutes a day. My sister does everything.
He only sometimes helps prepare food for the kid or the bath. But while playing, after like 2 minutes he's all: "oooh, I'm soooo tired...."
Even when he prepares the bath, he can't do it by himself, always calls my sister.
It's like my sis had TWO babies, not one. He's lazy and useless D:
I wonder why the hell he wanted to have a baby when he's not taking care of it :/

Luckily she doesn't cry at night and she's quite calm ^^

My drawing will have some colours 8D
I wanted to make it just black & white at first, but it looked too flat ^^;

I received 2 PM's from you about some Sim Hospital & Farm Frenzy games (I'm not playing games so IDK what it is ^^;), but the messages somehow doesn't sound like you so I just wonder if it's really you or some bot or something xD;

[identity profile] elitejean.livejournal.com 2011-03-01 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
He doesn't help your sister out and she's fine with it? If I married such a guy I'd definitely tell him off already XD It's their child together so they should share the responsibility when it comes to caring for that baby. Does he help out at your house though since they're staying there and everything...like carrying groceries for your mom or shoveling snow or something with your dad?

It would be nice if your niece ended up with some of your traits specially your artistic ability!! That would be so awesome^^Then she'd grow up to be a fangirl too XD What the heck am I saying?! *I'm sorry!!*

I was thinking your drawing would be black and white but I do remember seeing your other drawings where you added a nit of color here and there and made it even more interesting!! I'm sure it will be wonderful as well :]

Oh...that was me XD Last night I was so bored so I just started playing it then they ask you stuff like to share and invite so that must be it.

[identity profile] shi333.livejournal.com 2011-03-02 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't even want to marry such a guy! xD;
Though probably before their marriage he was "the ideal one".. or maybe not, IDK.
My sister only has the courage to yell at me and no one else u___u;
I already told her husband twice (when they were here previously) that he should take care of his baby and not sit in front of his computer all day.
He was of course all: "I am taking care of her" (with his annoying tone.. gah, I HATE the way he talks D:)
To which I just replied: "yeah, right"
I'm normally a calm person and to lazy to argue with people, but when it comes to women doing everything and men nothing but complaining (oh look, I just described my closest family xD;) I talk about it openly and LOUD (especially at family gatherings xP).
I wonder if there are some men out there that actually help with some stuff at home?

Does he help out at your house though since they're staying there and everything...like carrying groceries for your mom or shoveling snow or something with your dad?

Like I said, 95% of the time when he 's not sleeping, he sits in front of his computer :/
There's language barrier since my parents don't know English and he don't know Polish. (Well, I bet he knows/understands more than he pretends too. If I was in a foreign country and wanted people to leave me alone I'd pretend I don't understand a thing too :/ Yes, I don't trust him ^^;)
We don't have to shovel the snow, since we live in a block, and there's a person for that ^^
The shop is like 15 meters from our doors xD;
And for bigger shopping parents go by car, so yeah...
But he could move his lazy butt and clean a bit or water the flowers, but noooooooooo, he won't.
Even if he would, I bet he'd do it sloppily just to show how he suck at it and so he won't have to do it again. (I was like that too... when I was like 7).

I was really open minded at the beginning and wanted to like him, but the longer I know him the more I find him annoying D:
I just don't like that type of people >__<

It would be nice if your niece ended up with some of your traits specially your artistic ability!! That would be so awesome^^Then she'd grow up to be a fangirl too XD What the heck am I saying?! *I'm sorry!!*
You're speaking the truth! xD
For now I don't really interact with her in any way (because I don't really like kids and I don't know what to do with them), but I bet when she grows up a little and will be more independent there will be days when I will stay with her alone. And then... extreme brainwashing with rainbows and sparkles! >x) *evil laugh with echo*

Oh...that was me XD Last night I was so bored so I just started playing it then they ask you stuff like to share and invite so that must be it.
Oh, I just got scared that lj started to send spam pretending to be my friends xD;

Btw, have you watched Scene Tour DVD? ^^

..whoa, long reply is long o_____o

[identity profile] elitejean.livejournal.com 2011-03-08 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
My dad always does everything at home XD He's in Manila right now and we only get to talk to him about once in a month. We are waiting for his papers so that he can finally come here and join us^^ My dad goes to work but he cooks, does the laundry, washes the dishes, gets the groceries...well, basically he does everything. He also properly attends all of our school stuff :] When he sees my mom or I wash dishes or something he makes us go out the kitchen and watch tv or read. Dad says he likes it. That's one of the reasons why I do not know how to do anything at all that's related to house-work besides washing dishes.

Whenever my grandparents (mom's side of the family) stay with us when I was younger...I remember dad doing everything for them too. When he sees grandma cooking he makes sure to help out by washing and cutting everything for her. When my grandpa wants to go somewhere he will definitely make time to go because he doesn't want grandpa to be by himself. My dad is a lot like "Goo Dong Baek" -- he's a character on the Kdrama "That Fool". Not a very good looking guy but has a really great personality. My grandparents always say that he's extremely kind. My dad started working at a young age. His dad died when he was young so he started helping his mom take care of his younger siblings along with his eldest brother (who died already).

I watched it!! I was singing along and everything^^
I reply long too so don't let it bother you :]
Just type, type and type...

We're so many miles apart but if I'm able to help you in any way by reading your rantings then bring them on!! We haven't physically met yet but it seems like we've somehow become good friends in such a short period of time :] It's funny how this internet thing works sometimes I feel like my net-friends understand me more than the friends I have here with me right now...

[identity profile] shi333.livejournal.com 2011-03-08 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG, your dad is awesome! :O
So men like that DO exist!
My dad doesn't cook.. I only remember him doing it ONCE when I and my sister were little and our mom had really high fever. It was like 15 years ago or more, but I still remember how it tasted (it was simple, but good ^^). My memory usually sucks, but this left such a deep impression xD;
He doesn't really help with any housework... u__u;
His brother and father are the same. Even if they have everything done around them, they still complain.
Though my father tries to repair when something is not working properly and goes with my mother for shopping once a week, so at least this... u___u;
From what I know the other uncles (most from my mother's side) are more helpful ^^

Lol, I was singing along too xDDDD
The concert was awesome!
Solos were beautiful and the dance part was so cool! 8D
And Kaibutsu-kun~♥
I wonder if they'll release Dome part too?

Thank you for wanting to read my rant! xD
Yes. I feel much better when I can just let it out.
With my real life friends, I'm usually the one who sits and listens and then there's no time for me to talk about my stuff.
It was like that for years and it got to the point that I just can't openly talk about my problems and stuff anymore @__@
Actually I think I'm more open with my net-friends than with my rl-friends now D:
We have more things in common. I can fangirl with you or talk about various shows etc that we both have seen.
My rl-friends are not interested in these things at all. We listen to different music, we watch different movies/shows.
It's weird and kind of scary D:
But even if I didn't got to know my lj-friends, it'd be the same, just that I wouldn't have ANYONE to talk to about the things that I like. o__O;

[identity profile] elitejean.livejournal.com 2011-03-08 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
When we first came here my mom usually cried cause she had to do everything by herself. She also had about 2 sometimes 3 jobs so after finishing one she had to hurry and get to the other one. She had to work hard so that she can put us to school and pay all the bills. That's probably why I chose to work instead of finishing college. My mom works part-time now so it's all good. I'm able to put my younger sister in school too and take care of all the house bills :]

The Kaibutsu-kun movie...I can't wait to see it!! I hope the DVD will have english subs just like Ryo-chan's Chonmage Purin. That way I can watch and enjoy it right away^^ I love their solos on the DVD. Sho-chan's was sexy, Nino's was laid-back but good, Aiba-chan's was so adorable, Ohno...amazing vocals as always and Matsujun...electro-cool...but it reminded me of Perfume (which is fine because I like them!!)

Haha!! My friends here are not really interested with this stuff. They would rather go out clubbing, bar-hopping, shopping, etc. If they ever stay home they would only watch the american tv series's that we have here. Not only that, they sometimes think his stuff is lame XD They know I'm into it so sometimes they try to show some interest and ask about it too. Luckily, my bff is into all this fangirling stuff as well :] So we keep each other sane and well^^

I'm the same may it be with my friends here or with my net-friends. Oh...and don't worry or get scared about you being different from your other friends. What's important is to grow together and not apart and to respect each others way of thinking. So even if you have different likes and dislikes so long as you and your friends cherish each other it would all be fine :]

[identity profile] shi333.livejournal.com 2011-03-12 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't know Ryo's movie had English subs!
I hope Kaibutsu-kun will have too! *____*

(I like Perfume too!♥)

and don't worry or get scared about you being different from your other friends.
That's not the thing I'm scared of, since I was always different xD;
It just worries me that we will just fall apart.
I know they respect my interests.
We know each other for almost 16 years and they never made fun of my hobbies.
Just that, when we were still at school, we had common things to talk about and we were spending almost every day together.
But since we finished school, each took different path and we don't see each other much. Most of them study in other cities.
The one that's still here is busy with her work and boyfriend (ever since they're together she always drags him along to our meetings. I like him and all, but geez...).
I currently have no life at all, so I can't really find anything to talk about with them and I somehow feel "left behind".
Meh.. maybe it'll still work out somehow ^^;
I mean, it can't just end like that :/

I'm glad that you have someone to fangirl with!
Must be really fun to watch concerts together! ^____^
Singing & dancing along and stuff xD

[identity profile] elitejean.livejournal.com 2011-03-15 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Chonmage Purin was a wonderful movie!! It was cute, a little funny and very heart-warming. I cried at certain parts when I watched it. The DVD has english soft-subs too!! I wish they'd do that for all the movies they release from now on XD (Haha!! That's me being selfish!!) I think I like subs better than dubs. I wonder why because I used to be fine with it. Maybe I just like the way the original voice from the person acting it out cause it seems to carry so many different meanings and emotions compared to the person doing the dubbing. Gantz is out dubbed and I'm waiting for the subs cause a part of me wants to watch it with Nino's voice in japanese than some ones else's voice in english.

When my bff went to college we were separated for a few years. We only got to see each other about once or twice in a year XD Somehow even though there's that physical distance we still remained close to each other.

When we go to Little Tokyo I usually have videos on my phone so we watch them while sharing a meal. We flail at the restaurant then we shush each other XD I'm just glad I found someone who likes me and respects me for me. Between us there are no secrets. We're very honest with each other. We've been together for so long but we've never had a fight too!!

[identity profile] shi333.livejournal.com 2011-03-16 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe I'll watch it someday then :3

I always hated and still hate dubs xD
In PL, movies etc are rarely dubbed (usually it's movies for kids or cartoons).
They usually come with one voice reading over (So you can still hear the original voices and it isn't disturbing at all ^^) and/or subs.
I hate dubs to the point that I haven't seen even a second of GANTZ (not counting clips from Japanese news of course), because I know that after 5 minutes I'll be more annoyed than interested (even if it's Nino!).
Dubbings can't convey the feelings of the original actors.
It works more for cartoons, where you have um... original characters(?). In movies you see actors, and especially with your favourite ones you know what to expect from their acting.
Even if someones acting is bad, the dub will make it even worse IMO. D:

IDK if I make any sense, I'm dead tired so I hope you understand at least half of my blabbing xD;

That's awesome that you're still close to each other! It gives me a hope a bit.
Though I'm the one that sucks with dealing with people.
In the recent years I've became even more shy & scared of people than I was, and to the point that I'm not sure if my friends will accept me and my craziness. I know they will (well, they actually ARE accepting me), but at the same time I'm worried.
I'm just weird like that D:

xDDD Flailing at restaurant! xDD
My friends know I like Johnny's, but IDK if they know how much obsessed I am with them ^^;
I'm probably the most "childish" from them... "childish" from their point of view. Because being crazy about boybands at my age is actually seen as "childish" in my country... If they only saw all those 50 year old ladies at concerts....
IDK.. Even if I am childish, I don't care. I like it. Because what's the fun in talking only about how hard it's to get a job, money, paying bills, marriage etc. - lately they only talk about stuff like this, unless we're talking about good old times which I miss so much D:

We sometimes fought with each other, but since like 8 years ago, we stopped ^^

[identity profile] elitejean.livejournal.com 2011-12-03 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Hello Shii-chan :-)

I think you made an extremely good point regarding why we prefer subs and not dubs. I too did not watch the english dubbed version of Gantz XD For Live-Action movies I prefer hearing the original actors voices. Their voice alone can convey the original feel of the scene. They have those narrations too and sometimes voice-overs in movies and it's very important to me that I be able to hear the original actors voice at that point rather than hear a dub from someone just re-enacting it in a voice studio somewhere. There are some people that argue that reading subtitles tires them out but since I'm used to subs it doesn't bother me one bit.

If you suck at dealing with people then your friends should do their best to keep you entertained XD As friends, there's an unspoken pact to look-out for each other and stay together in good times and bad. It's true when they say that even one friend makes a difference. I'm quite busy so I haven't been hanging out with most of my friends but if I do have time instead of calling everyone over I usually will just contact my bff and the two of us will just have a simple sort of casual hang-out. To be honest, there are times that even I find it a hassle to deal with people including friends. But I love them and even though I say that I care deeply for them and wish them well. It's ok if you're shy and if you're scared. I won't tell you to go out there and attempt to make friends. Making friends isn't about meeting new people it's about learning to trust and understand each other. So even if you're friends are far and very few you are definitely much better off than people that have plenty but no true ones^^

I've never fought with a friend. I'm extremely good at holding up my composure and my temper. At work when we get an angry call or something my boss and co-workers will always put me on the line. Hahaha!! Well, my general rule is no matter how angry or upset someones is and no matter hot hurtful they sound...I should absolutely not lose to them. Besides, eing angry doesn't help anyone one bit.

It's good to be childish^^ I hope it's a part of myself that I never loose. To me being childish is being true to ones true self. It's good to love yourself and be selfish every now and then. It's good to throw tantrums and flail over things. I'm not saying to do it all the time but it's something that you need to let out every now and then. In my line of work I'm able to turn my childishness into creativity which is a positive, I'm sure it's somewhat the same for you since you're an artist too. We live in such a complex world now so meeting people who lack that complexity makes me feel somehow at ease. Consider your childishness as a blessing and go forth to the world with your brilliance and become one of those people who illuminate the world. Laugh, Live, and Love...truly life is that simple.

[identity profile] shi333.livejournal.com 2011-12-19 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Right? Subs for the win! xD
Though my friends don't really like to watch movies with english subs, because they can't catch up.
I guess being in this fandom "trained" me in a way...

Also, when you can hear the original voice, you can catch the mistakes in translation if you know the language a bit.
After 15 years or something, they're finally re-airing Sailor Moon here with the voice over. They did new translation for this, but I still want to facepalm sometimes (though I watched only 3 eps so far, lol). I wonder how many times I'd facepalm at the old version xD;

Yeah, I know.
That's why with them I feel at ease... kind off...
The ones that I haven't met that much for the past 5 years or so, have their own lives and new friends already. I don't even know what to talk about with them, because all they talk about is finding a job and stuff (that I'm sick of hearing already to be honest...)
We don't even have matching interests anymore.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one thinking we're still friends. Like last time, I said something about my bff to one of the girls I'm not seeing that often:
Me: "But she's your friend!"
Friend: "Friend? We haven't seen each other for a year and earlier also not that often. I wouldn't call it friendship..."
I was speechless because it was like scratching all the nice memories we have from our school times :/

Or maybe it's just because she's even more negative & depressing human than me, lol.

Whoa, that's awesome & impressive you never fought!

Our fights were rarely caused by me.
One time I remember, my bff misheard what I said to her and thought I called her by some not so nice word (that is actually sometimes used in jokes and she also uses it, lol). She wasn't talking to me for 2 weeks and even if I tried to explain it to her, she wouldn't believe me xD;
There was also a lot of cases where people would just randomly stop talking to me, and I still don't know why ^^;

We were like 13-14 years old, so yeah, it's that awful age xD

At work when we get an angry call or something my boss and co-workers will always put me on the line.
Lol, you should tell him to pay you extra for it xP
I'd be probably patient at the beginning, but if I got really pissed I'd just hang up. x)

Besides, eing angry doesn't help anyone one bit.
This this this this.
I always tell this to my parents whenever they fight, but it always ends up as:
Father (about mother): But she's *insert what she did wrong in his opinion*
Mother (about father): But he's *insert what he did wrong in her opinion*
Me: You're worse than kids! :| *lazily goes back to her room*
I wish all people would understand this :/

To me being childish is being true to ones true self.
You're amazing person. You could put my thoughts into words so easily xD
But yes, this is totally true!

In my line of work I'm able to turn my childishness into creativity which is a positive, I'm sure it's somewhat the same for you since you're an artist too.
This is exactly what I was thinking about some time ago.
If I wasn't in this fandom, surrounded by rainbows and sparkles, most of my drawings wouldn't be born.
Asian stuff inspire me a lot.
It is kind of sad to be alone in this, but if I suddenly changed my interests to match my friends', I'd probably stop getting ideas, because most of European & American movies are visually unattractive for me ^^;
I hope I'll be able to find a job where I can use my imagination.

Laugh, Live, and Love...truly life is that simple.
I'd add some Chocolate to that~ xD
And omg, the things you say are so simple but so beautiful, thoughtful & uplifting *____*

Have you ever considered becoming a psychologist? x)

Thank you for this. I really needed something like that now ♥ ^^
